Interest-based advertising

Interest-based advertising involves targeting ads to you based on your web browsing and app usage habits on different websites or apps over time. Our advertising practices also include the creation and use of "audience segments". You have the option to limit the use of your information for interest-based advertising and to opt out of receiving such advertisements. Depending on your location, you may also be asked to consent to our use of cookies, including advertising cookies. You will find below additional information about audience segments and your choices regarding interest-based advertising.

Audience segments: We disclose various types of information for interest-based advertising purposes, including interest-based advertising from third parties. This involves using personal data to generate audience segments, which are then used for interest-based advertising, including third-party advertising, on FitMe's online platforms. These audience segments are formulated based on factors such as website visits, app usage data, fitness and wellness data, online and offline purchasing behaviours, interaction with our ads or marketing emails, and other similar information. In some cases, third-party data may also be included.

Interest-based advertising: opt-outs, choices and control: You can opt-out of the use of your data for interest-based advertising, including advertising by third parties, regardless of where these ads are displayed. These opt-outs require that strictly necessary cookies are not blocked by your web browser settings. We adhere to the self-regulatory principles for online behavioural advertising established by digital advertising alliances in different regions. If you live in the United States, Canada or the European Union, you can visit websites such as Ad Choices (USA), Your Ad Choices (Canada) or Your Online Choices (EU) to conveniently opt out of interest-based advertising with participating entities in each region. These websites also provide detailed explanations of how interest-based advertising works. Opting out does not mean that you will no longer receive advertising from us or when you browse the Internet; it simply means that the data collected on our website will not be used for interest-based advertising, and the ads you see on the websites will not be tailored to your interests.

Mobile app: You can opt out of interest-based advertising on mobile devices by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" or an equivalent feature offered by your mobile platform. This will send a signal to us and third parties that your data should not be used for interest-based advertising.

Our section on the use of cookies and device IDs provides additional options to control the use of certain types of cookies, including advertising cookies. You can use the "advertising cookies" switch in these settings to prevent the collection and use of personal data in cookies for interest-based advertising.
